Who writes Prezava, who pays for it and the rules the editors follow, starting with the fact that the publisher owns the first resort.

The publisher behind Prezava
Prezava belongs to the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida, 500 SW 177th Avenue, Miami FL 33194. That same Tribe owns Miccosukee Casino & Resort, the property placed first. Editorial mail goes to contact@prezava.com.
A compact team that writes about leisure travel across the American Southeast and the northern Caribbean prepares each resort note. Apart from the publisher's own resort, no hotel on the list has previewed or signed off on its Prezava text.
Position one, explained
Miccosukee Casino & Resort leads the list for a single reason: the Tribe owns it. Prezava never measured it against the others on neutral terms, so its position is no judgement of quality. A booking there pays the publisher of Prezava directly, on top of any referral fee that may also arise.
Where Prezava's income comes from
Buttons pointing to hotel sites can include referral tracking. Should you book after using one, a partner may pay Prezava a fee, and the rate you pay is unaffected. Our affiliate disclosure gives the specifics.
How Prezava chooses and orders positions two to ten
Each candidate starts with its official website and posted policies, followed by a pass through park-service and tourism-board information. Four yardsticks then decide the order:
- Rooms: comfort, the outlook, and whether the hotel explains its room categories well.
- Leisure: pools, spa, dining rooms and live venues on the grounds.
- Surroundings: sawgrass, Smokies ridges, Bahamian sand, nearby towns and how long the journey takes.
- Openness: does the hotel reveal its resort fees, age limits and house rules before you pay?
Anything Prezava cannot check stays off the page. That means no room totals, rates, construction dates or prizes unless confirmed, and no grades or marks out of anything. The casino side of each resort is excluded from the yardsticks and left undescribed.
Background and sources
The people writing Prezava cover resorts as places to stay, and they work from first-hand sources: hotel websites, the National Park Service, state and Bahamian tourism offices. Where something could not be pinned down, the note says so plainly or points you to the hotel to ask.
When Prezava gets it wrong
If a Prezava note has gone stale, send the page link and the detail in question to contact@prezava.com. An editor compares it with the resort's own published information, rewrites the passage if needed and moves the revision date on that page. Resorts are welcome to flag factual slips, yet no resort can buy itself a better position.
